Who I am:
As a Registered Massage Therapist, my goal is to help people restore balance in their nervous systems and throughout their bodies.
I completed my massage training at ICT Northumberland College in 2021, and have continued education in courses on pain management as well as various fascial, and muscle energy techniques.
Within my massage career, I spent 4 years working in a multidisciplinary clinic, providing collaborative care alongside an excellent team of Physiotherapists, Osteopaths and Nurse Practitioners. I have worked with people ranging from their teens to their 90s, and have experience treating a wide range of people, including those experiencing complex ongoing pain, those with acute injuries and those looking for stress relief.
My Philosophy of Treatment:
Through my treatments I support clients to experience gentle awareness in areas they may hold tension or feel pain. I recognize people need different styles of treatment depending on their bodies, and the day they are having. I apply a wide variety of techniques and depths of pressure to support each individual who comes for a treatment with me. I am happy to hold space for a quiet and deeply restorative massage, or chat. It is whatever you need on that given day. I also love talking about anatomy and pain management strategies, so please ask away!
Looking out at the ocean while I treat has been a dream of mine since becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, and I am very excited to welcome clients into my new treatment space with a beautiful ocean view! I recently moved to Portuguese Cove and am looking forward to providing massage therapy to the surrounding community as well as any of my previous clients who would like to make the beautiful drive just out of Halifax.
